Enterprise Group Hosts Empower Moms 2.0 in Partnership with the Butterfly Center

ACCRA, GHANA, April 7, 2026 Enterprise Group, in partnership with the Butterfly Center, has hosted Empower Moms 2.0, a one-day workshop dedicated to mothers of children with autism and other neurodiverse conditions. The workshop, held in Accra, brought together participants from across Ghana for a programme of expert-led sessions and peer engagement.

Empower Moms 2.0 is the second edition in an ongoing series of workshops delivered by Enterprise Group through its partnership with the Butterfly Center. The programme is designed to equip mothers with the practical knowledge and emotional resilience required to manage the demands of raising children with neurodiverse conditions. Sessions were facilitated by a panel of psychologists, dieticians, and medical practitioners and covered nutritional management, behavioural support, clinical care pathways, and strategies for building mental and emotional resilience.

The rationale behind this partnership is to ensure this segment of society that is often overlooked is given the needed attention and support as needed. Most of these mothers are from low-income backgrounds, many are single mothers, and many have limited educational backgrounds. They are the people who mostly fall through the cracks of society with no help, no support.

Mothers came from all over the country to be empowered with skills on how to better handle their peculiar situations. They shared their challenges and walked away with solutions.

Our Partnership with the Butterfly Center

Enterprise Group's engagement with the Butterfly Center now spans approximately two years. The Group was instrumental in the renovation and conversion of the facility that now houses the Center, and saw the project through to completion. The Butterfly Center was officially commissioned on 28 November 2024 in Ridge, Accra, as part of Enterprise Group's centenary celebrations. It provides affordable early intervention services, respite, and support for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and other long-term conditions.

The Empower Moms workshop series extends the Center's mandate beyond the children it serves to the parents who care for them, in recognition of the central role mothers play in the developmental journey of children with special needs.

Part of Enterprise Group's Corporate Social Investment Agenda

Enterprise Group's Corporate Social Investment agenda is built on three pillars - Health, Philanthropy, and Financial Literacy - through which the Group channels its commitments to the communities it serves. Empower Moms 2.0 sits within the Health and Philanthropy pillars, joining a portfolio that includes the construction of mechanized boreholes in all sixteen regions of Ghana, the donation of incubators to the Keta Hospital, financial literacy programmes for students, parents and teachers, and support for the rehabilitation of the Ghana Military's dining facility. The Group remains committed to investments that deliver long-term, measurable impact across all three pillars.
