Enterprise Group Develops Next Generation of Leaders Through Aspen Leadership Initiative West Africa (ALIWA)

Leadership development remains a key priority for Enterprise Group as we continue to invest in building a strong pipeline of future leaders equipped to navigate an increasingly complex and dynamic business environment.

As part of this commitment, Enterprise Group partnered with the Aspen Leadership Initiative West Africa (ALIWA) for its 2025 leadership development programme targeted at middle management employees across the Group. The programme was carefully selected for its proven ability to develop values-driven leaders through intellectually rigorous learning, meaningful peer engagement and practical application in the workplace.

The ALIWA programme aligns closely with Enterprise Group's commitment to nurturing leaders who embody the organisation's core values of Friendliness, Professionalism, Reliability, Excellence and Trust. Participants were challenged to deepen their leadership capabilities while exploring real-world issues relevant to both their roles and the broader business environment.

Over a nine-month period, participants engaged in a comprehensive learning journey that combined three intensive residential seminars with individual reading, reflection and structured engagements with line managers. The programme focused on a range of critical leadership themes, including:

• Leading in uncertainty
• Leading in challenging environments
• Entrepreneurial leadership
• Strategic leadership and critical thinking
• Stakeholder management
• Leading in the future

The inaugural Enterprise Group cohort brought together participants from seven operating companies across Ghana and The Gambia, providing a valuable platform for cross-functional learning, collaboration and the exchange of diverse perspectives.

On 4 September 2026, the first cohort successfully completed the programme, marking an important milestone in Enterprise Group's leadership development journey. The graduates represent a new generation of leaders who are better equipped to drive performance, inspire teams and contribute meaningfully to the Group's long-term success.

By investing in programmes such as ALIWA, Enterprise Group continues to strengthen its leadership bench and reinforce its commitment to developing ethical, resilient and forward-looking leaders capable of creating lasting value for customers, communities and stakeholders across the Group.
