Accra, Ghana – June 30, 2025 – Acacia Health Insurance is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Araba Asumanu as its new Managing Director, effective August 1, 2025.
Araba is a Chartered Accountant and seasoned finance professional with over 25 years of experience spanning auditing, financial strategy, insurance operations, and corporate governance. She holds an Executive MBA in Finance and a degree in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Insurance and a Certificate in Taxation.
Araba began her career at KPMG and joined Enterprise Insurance in 1999. She rose through the ranks to become the first Group Head of Internal Audit & Assurance at Enterprise Group in 2011. Until her current appointment, she served as General Manager, Finance at Enterprise Insurance, where she played a key role in driving financial and strategic planning across the business.
Her leadership style, combined with deep technical expertise and a passion for execution, makes her well-positioned to lead Acacia into its next phase of growth.
Araba takes over from Dr. Dan V. Armooh, who has served as Managing Director since 2015. Under his leadership, Acacia grew in scale and reputation and was successfully acquired by Enterprise Group in June 2021—an important milestone that aligned the company with one of Ghana’s most trusted and diversified financial services groups. We thank Dr. Armooh for his commitment and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
