Thelma is the Group Risk & Compliance Manager, responsible for the overall accountability of risk management and compliance across the Group. She partners with the Executive Committee on all risk matters, ensuring that risks faced by the Group and its subsidiaries are adequately identified, assessed, controlled, and monitored across all operational companies.
She joined Enterprise Group from Fidelity Bank Ghana Ltd. where she served as Head of Enterprise Risk, leading the design and implementation of comprehensive enterprise-wide risk frameworks to address regulatory requirements, including sustainability risks, climate financing, and outsourcing risk directives. Prior to that, she was the Enterprise Risk Manager, where she coordinated enterprise risk management programs and facilitated quarterly risk reporting to senior management and the Board. Before joining Fidelity Bank, she worked at Absa Bank Ghana Limited (formerly Barclays Bank Ghana Limited) in various risk roles over a span of 11 years, from Risk Officer to Operational Risk Advisor, and later as Head of the Retail Credit Risk Assurance Unit. In these roles, she built deep expertise in operational risk frameworks, credit risk assurance, business continuity planning, and regulatory compliance. Earlier in her career, she served as Training & Support Manager at Danash Engineering Ltd. and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Coast.
Thelma is a Certified ISO 31000 Senior Lead Risk Manager and a Certified ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, both from PECB, Canada. She holds an MBA in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cape Coast. She has demonstrated expertise in strategic risk planning, regulatory compliance frameworks, including Basel guidelines, COSO, and ISO 31000, as well as emerging areas such as ESG and climate risk management.
