Abed is an accomplished Accountant with over 30 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing and corporate financial management and governance in the private industry sectors of the economy.

He set up the accounting system of then an embryonic Regimanuel-Gray, a real estate company. He worked with Vermeer Ghana Ltd, a mechanical construction company as Finance Manager. He held the position of Finance Director, AFGO Ghana Ltd then later Aviance Ghana Limited, aviation services companies for 19 years. He was a key member of the transformation of the company from AFGO to Aviance during the acquisition. Mr. Botchway was part of the setup team of Swiss Port Ghana Ltd where he held the position of Chief Financial Officer. He is now an advisor to Swiss Port Ghana Ltd and also a partner of BACK Consult, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultant.
