Douglas is a seasoned insurance practitioner with nearly 35 years' experience.

His previous employers include Swiss Re, African Life Insurance Company and Quindiem, where he held executive positions with responsibility for several countries.

He is currently a Special Advisor to LeapFrog Strategic African Investments, a partnership between Prudential Financial Inc and LeapFrog Investments.

As well as being a Chartered Insurer(FCII), he holds a BCom Honours Degree and a Masters Degree in Business Leadership both from the University of South Africa, and has attended executive courses at Harvard Business School and IMD Business School Switzerland.
