Njie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>Mr. Pa Macoumba M. Njie joined the erstwhile Gambia Commercial and Development Bank (GCDB) straight out of High School and worked<br \/>there up until the time he left for the United States to further his studies. While in the United States, he worked in the Consumer Loan<br \/>Department of the First American Bank and in 1982, he returned home to rejoin GCDB where he worked his way up the ranks from a Credit<br \/>officer to Commercial Manager. Between 1992 and 1997 he worked his way up from Operations Manager at Meriden BIAO Bank to Executive<br \/>Director and then played a leading role in the privatization of Trust Bank Limited. Mr. Njie was appointed Acting Managing Director of Trust<br \/>Bank Ltd. in 1997 and then confirmed as Managing Director in 2000, a position he held until June 2016.<\/p>\r\n<p><br \/>He holds a B.A in Business Administration from Howard University in the USA and an M.A in Business Economics from Essex University in the<br \/>UK. Mr. Njie also has rich and diverse training in a variety of Banking and related courses across the world.<\/p>\r\n<p><br \/>He has served as a Board Member of Meridien Bank Sierra Leone, Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Home Finance Company<br \/>(The Gambia) Ltd, The Gambia Banker\u2019s Association and Bayba Financial Services Ltd. He is currently a Director on the Board of Trust Bank<br \/>Limited and also chairs the Boards of Enterprise Life Assurance Company Gambia Ltd and International Bank of Liberia. Mr. Njie received the<br \/>Gambia Chamber of Commerce Banker of the year Award in 2001 and in 2002 was appointed a Notary Public. In 2006, he was appointed to<br \/>the National Order of the Republic of The Gambia (RGM) by His Excellency The President of the Republic of The Gambia.
